On The Road Again

Well, I have not had to travel to Homer for the last couple of months, but it was time to return once again to download data from our field sites and make sure that all of the equipment was still in good working condition. Monday was spent in airports and on planes before visiting our field site at Anchor Point.

Jeremy and I were met with gorgeous weather after leaving a cloudy Fairbanks. A field of fireweed about as tall as I am had grown at our site since the last time I was there...

...the volcanoes across Cook Inlet were fully visible (This one being Mount Redoubt, but there are two others that were out at well.)...

...and the Homer Spit was lookin' good.

Rachel-Exactly how tall would fireweed have to be to be almost as "TALL" as you? Hee Hee. Love you, Mary
