2008

This was my first time ushering in a new year from Alaska, and it certainly did not disappoint. Jeremy and Dianna were kind enough to open their home to the masses and subject it to the uncertain destruction of New Year's party. Little did they know, Tom and Melissa were going to bring Drinko...

Yes, it is like Plinko on the 'Price is Right', only you drop chips down the pegs and have to drink whichever shot you land on. For a game found in your local housewares department, Drinko was highly entertaining to say the least.

At the stroke of midnight, we were all outside around a bonfire enjoying a spectacular fireworks show. Since we have 24 hours of daylight on the 4th of July, the tradition is that fireworks are saved until New Year's. We were all issued sparklers to wave as fireworks exploded high in the sky.

Afterward, we shared our resolutions around the fire as well as lots of smiles.

In case you were wondering, I believe the worst damage incurred from Drinko were the headaches the next morning.
